TerryRon Paul isn't the only one who ever spoke about the ills of our fiat currency. President Andrew Jackson in his Farewell Address outlined the problem with fiat currency at great length.
A recent post about the mortgage crisis on the BJ Lawson for Congress site demonstrates the evils of fiat currency. President Andrew Jackson spoke of the evils of a fiat currency and the fact that the Constitution intended to secure a circulating medium of gold and silver for the people.
In reviewing the conflicts which have taken place between different interests in the United States and the policy pursued since the adoption of our present form of Government, we find nothing that has produced such deep-seated evil as the course of legislation in relation to the currency. The Constitution of the United States unquestionably intended to secure to the people a circulating medium of gold and silver. But the establishment of a national bank by Congress, with the privilege of issuing paper money receivable in the payment of the public dues, and the unfortunate course of legislation in the several States upon the same subject, drove from general circulation the constitutional currency and substituted one of paper in its place.
So, it isn't just Ron Paul, or Alan Greenspan - before he changed his tune - that have discussed the evils of a fiat currency and how gold relates to freedom.
The fact that BJ Lawson, candidate for Congress in North Carolina's 4th Congressional District, understands the danger our fiat currency poses to our economic well-being and freedom, makes him the right candidate to go to Congress, along with Dr. Ron Paul, and give us some real straight talk.
We need BJ Lawson in Congress to replace David Price - who voted for the bailout. Bj Lawson will defend liberty and fight for constitutional government. It is time to heed President Jackson's wise counsel and offer Americans something other than fiat currency and unconstitutional government intervention in every aspect of our lives. With the election drawing near, please volunteer, donate, or both to elect BJ Lawson to Congress.
