TerryLeader Boehner your salary belongs to us.
Sometimes the decisions and behavior of our so called leaders, AKA Congress Critters, is so outrageous and despicable that they need a good figurative (maybe literal) slap in the head. Here is my latest slap for Republican Leader Boehner regarding tthe bailout.
"Dear Leader Boehner,
I was happy yesterday to learn of the defeat of the ill conceived bailout. It would seem to me, that if any party understood the right of property, it would be yours.
While the rank-and-file members seemed to largely understand the stakes, a few members, plus the leadership clearly do not.
Property is the foundation of this country. Property encompasses both our person and possessions. This bailout was clearly an effort on the part of the President, Congress, the Chamber of Commerce, the banks, financial institutions, etc. to unjustly confiscate our property.
So, it should not have come as a surprise that the people opposed this unjust effort to take their property. However, some do seem surprised that the people don't believe that taking 700 billion from them to hand to unsuccessful businesses, individuals and institutions is really for their own good.
How about this...why doesn't Congress hand over their entire salary to people who need it for the next 30 years? There are people who really need that money. You know, people who have mortgages they can't pay. People who bought more home than they could afford. People who lost their job, can't pay the mortgage, but would like to stay in their home.
You see, your salary belongs to us - not you. Also, if you have any personal savings or other assets please hand them over to the people also as we have need of them. If you don't hand over all that you have, the economy will collapse, and you don't want that.
Plus, we have consulted some economic experts, and they all agree that confiscating your assets is the only way to solve the crisis that faces us.
If you don't do this before 6PM Thursday, before the Asian Markets open, it will be financial Armageddon. Be a good American and give us all your money. "
I'm not holding my breath for Congress to fork over their checks. They shouldn't hold their breath waiting for the people to do the same.
